Utilities Concession Scheme
Save money on your energy bills. Eligible ACT households may be able to get a rebate. Talk to your energy provider to check if you can get a concession discount.
About the program
An energy rebate or concession is available to eligible households. You can get money back on your electricity, gas, water or sewage costs.
The rebate covers up to $750 per year.
An additional one-off rebate of $50 will be provided to the Utilities Concession for 2023-24.
How it works
Apply for a rebate through your energy provider.
The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and applied to your utility account.
The rebate is only available for your main household.
Who can take part
ACT residents with one of these cards may be eligible:
- Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card
- Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card
- Centrelink Health Care Card
- ACT Service Access Card
- Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card or Gold Card.
